BLINKIST MARKETING MATERIALS README

MARKETING MATERIAL FORMATS

All prints ads are in PDF form and are usually with or without crop marks, single or ganged up on sheets.

All Social Media, Web & TV (16.9) ads will be in these image formats: WebP, AVIF and possibly PNG or JPG.

Use WebP or AVIF file formats unless you have a compelling reason not to do so. These newer formats have smaller file sizes, load faster and are supported by all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge. Consult your web developer or IT person if you have questions about these newer file formats.

WHERE DO I START?

A good starting point is with the files from the "Blinkist Launch & Getting Started Files" folder. Here you will find:

1.) The "Blinkist Interactive "Introducing Blinkist!" flyer
2.) First day on Blinkist Flyers (digital and print PDF's)
3.) Getting Started on Blinkist - print and Instagram/Facebook posts

SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS AND WEB BANNER SIZES (in pixels)

The Social Media Ads were created at regular and 2 times the size (appended with @2x). All web banners are at 4 times the size (appended with @4x), since some of the smaller sized web banners will look quite bad on modern high resolution screens. The larger image sizes will still have a small digital footprint if you use the WebP or AVIF formats.

A NOTE ON THE AVIF FORMAT

NOTE: The AVIF image file format is now supported by a variety of services and platforms on the web, including WordPress, Joomla, CloudFlare and others. Google also supports the AVIF file format in Google Search, Google Images and all locations Google Search shows images such as Google Discover, Google News and so forth.
